Location and Distances

The hotel is within walking distance of all of Jerusalem’s major sights and within ten minutes of the Damascus Gate in the Old City, with a 45-minute drive from Ben Gurion airport outside Tel Aviv.

Superior Rooms

Located primarily in the newer sections of the hotel. Recently refurbished to meet our most exigent guests’ expectations, they all have electronic safes, hairdryer, interactive TV, cable with in-house video and Broadband Internet access.

Pasha Classical

Every room was built to order with typical Ottoman architecture of the 1800’s. Step back more than a hundred years and lose yourself in history.

Pasha Deluxe

The famous original rooms built by the Turkish Pasha in the 1800’s for his three wives. Three rooms in the Courtyard for Summer time and three rooms above for the winter. They are all completely refurbished using our best efforts to respect the charm and the atmosphere of the original building.

Junior Suites

These are larger rooms, some with wooden ceilings. They are located in the newer parts of the hotel and in the Palm House.

Our most special room. Built as a bedroom by the pasha for his beloved fourth wife, overlooking the courtyard, meticulously restored with all the character and fittings you dream about.

Munir Barakat “Antiquarian”
Facing the front entrance to the hotel, Munir will be happy to show you around his extensive shop, where you can find a large selection of antiquarian and oriental items, an exciting, exotic treasure trove worth exploring! Old Persian and Caucasian carpets, Russian icons, wall hangings, archeological pots, old Bedouin jewelry, Roman and Hebron glass, olive wood nativity sets abound.

Munther’s Book Shop
Immerse yourself in the region’s history, politics, religions and cultures by reading some of the wide selection of books on these topics, conveniently available to you at Munther’s Book Shop, across from the hotel’s main entrance. Open daily between 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Munther’s is a friendly place where you can browse through books on the region’s history, including the book about the fascinating history of the American Colony Hotel, “Our Jerusalem.” The store also has guidebooks, maps, posters, dictionaries, regional literature and the latest English bestsellers.
