Massada and the Dead Sea - Full Day Tour

Today you will learn about Massada and the heroic story of the fighters and you will visit the resort area of the lowest place on earth: the Dead Sea.
Depart Tel Aviv via the Judean hills to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Massada. Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the Zealots of the first century made their last stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic floors, roman baths and other findings. Descend by cable car. Travel along the sea and enjoy some free time to swim and float on the Dead Sea.
Note: From the arrival of the cable car to the archaeological site there are 80 steps to climb.

- For the tours to Jerusalem, Haifa and Nazareth, modest attire is required for visiting holy places of any religion (men with head covering, women with shoulder covering; for both men and women - no shorts).
- For the tours to Massada and the Dead Sea head covering, sun protection lotion, bathing suit and towel are recommended.
- For all tours, comfortable walking shoes are suggested.
- All tours are conducted by government licensed guides and in luxury air-conditioned vehicles and buses.
- Daily tours are conducted in English (second language upon request).
- Valuable belongings should never be left unattended in the vehicle.
